Brief History

"SWORD- AFPSM is the break-away group of the MRRD-NECC group, and was created in honor of the Group who originally convinced, and sacrificed to support then Mayor Rodrigo Duterte in his bid for the 2016 Presidential Election. Why was SWORD-AFPSM created?

Founded by Dr. Dioscoro "Steve" Esteban, Jr., SWORD-AFPSM formerly "MRRD-AFPSC", was created to support all of President Rodrigo Duterte's present and future programs, including among others, the conversion of our Unitary Form of Government into a Federal Form of Government.

Prior to the 2016 Presidential Election, a group of Duterte Supporters known as Marco Polo 15 convinced then Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to run for the Presidential bid. One of them was Dr. Dioscoro “Steve” Esteban Jr. who stays up awake in the wee hours of the morning, discussing with his fellow group members, strategic plans to support the Presidential Aspirant.

The plans among others, is the fight against: Corruption, Criminality, Illegal Drugs, Insurgency and Poverty, and the necessary support for the Charter Change "CHA-CHA", in transforming our Government from Unitary to a Federal Government. All of these prompted Dr. Steve to take proper and immediate action, and convened all Duterte Supporters nationwide.

Initially, the group was called MRRD-AFPSC but was later changed into Sincere Warriors of Rodrigo Duterte, Advocating Federalism and President Support Movement (SWORD-AFPSM or "Sword") by our National Secretary, General Antonio M. Cote, owing to an apparent similarity in name with the original group, the MRRD-NECC.

Being a break away group from MRRD-NECC, Sword made massive and continuous symposiums on federalism awareness. This is the major advocacy of the group and has been successful without aid from the government. Travelling from one place to another, to the most remote local places, to support president Duterte's quest for the said transition in Government form.

SWORD-AFPSM’s growth is phenomenal. Its Leaders and Members are currently Worldwide. Sword continues to promote Federalism, and together with this advocacy, Sword continues to welcome new Members - "NO FEES".

SWORD-AFPSM being apolitical, remains to be the group that will protect and support President Duterte and his administration, for the good of the Filipino Nation.

It is by virtue of Board Resolution No. 01 Series of 2017 that SWORD-AFPSM is recognized as one and the same Entity with that of duly SEC Registered SWORD Advocating Peace Support (SAPS), Incorporated.
